What the cXML validator checks
Paste a cXML message and the validator lists every error and warning, the way a procurement system or supplier would find them.
- Well-formed XML, with the line and column of the first mistake.
- The envelope: payloadID, an ISO 8601 timestamp, the cXML version.
- Credentials: From, To and Sender, each with a domain and identity, and the shared secret on requests.
- The message itself: PunchOutSetupRequest (operation, BuyerCookie, BrowserFormPost), PunchOutSetupResponse (status and StartPage), PunchOutOrderMessage (every cart line: quantity, price, currency, part IDs, UOM, totals) and OrderRequest (order ID, date, lines, totals, addresses).
It checks the rules procurement systems actually enforce, not every detail of the cXML DTD. To test a live supplier, use the cXML PunchOut tester.
