Supplier's reply
What the supplier should do with an OrderRequest
Send a test OrderRequest (purchase order) to a supplier's order endpoint and check that it answers with a cXML 200 status.
Procurement systems send the purchase order server to server, as cXML in the body of an HTTP POST. The supplier must answer with HTTP 200 and a cXML Response/Status:
- 200 OK or 201 Accepted: the order was received.
- 4xx: the order was refused (bad credentials, bad data). The buyer marks it failed.
- 5xx: a temporary problem. Many networks retry, so the order may arrive twice; dedupe on
orderIDandpayloadID.
Returned a cart in the cXML PunchOut tester? "Send these items as a test order" on the cart report fills the lines here.
Basic and Advanced
Basic mode: fill in the fields and order lines, and the tester writes the OrderRequest for you.
Advanced mode: edit the cXML itself, or paste an OrderRequest. It is sent exactly as written, and the Basic fields aren't used. "Rebuild from Basic" starts it from what Basic would send.
